We pride ourselves as the very first professional destination in the region to train and certify service dogs, whether it’s a Service Dog, or Emotional Support (ESA), or Psychiatric Service Dog (PSA), Bed & Biscuits Training School offers the comprehensive program for both canines and their handlers with the required certifications, ID, Harnesses, tags and badges which shall eliminate the need to answer questions to strangers regarding your disability and make it clear that their companion is there to provide them with invaluable services
In the United Stated, and under the Americans with Disabilities Act, registered service dogs are allowed to most places where non service pets are banned, restaurants, bars, malls, boardings, buses, public transportations, senior living communities, universities, on campus housing and airplanes
Psychiatric Service Dog (PSA)
This course duration and fees can vary depending on many factors such as the specific tasks required, handlers’ abilities and needs and the dog’s drive to work and its aptitude
It’s crucial to work with our experienced trainers who understands the complexities of such kind of dog training, the job is to encompass obedience, task-skills, public access confidence and acclimatization while strengthening the bond with the handler
Some common tasks include:
- Crisis intervention
- Deep pressure therapy
- Interrupting harmful behaviors
- Retrieving medication or items
- Assistance in public spaces
- Navigating and guiding the blinds
Our trainers will take through all the possibilities for tailoring best program that suits both your needs and the dog’s abilities too
When course is completed, proofing of the skills acquired in addition to public access tests will be performed, according to the success rate, the certification will be issued, the tags, the harness and the badge
Emotional Support Dog (ESA)
This course is specially designed to train the canine companion to provide comfort, companionship, and emotional support for individuals who suffer from emotional or mental health issues.
Unlike PSA canines, ESA canines are not trained to perform specific tasks, but rather to alleviate symptoms through their presence and affection.
Please note that ESA canines do not have same public access rights as PSA however, they are registered and are granted the certificate, the harness, the tags and the badge
